Hayek met her soulmate in the spring of 2006 while attending a gala in Venice at Palazzo Grassi. Hayek mentioned the encounter with her future husband was a ‘romantic, amazing story’ but calls it as hers and is something very personal to her she wishes to keep out of public eye just for the sake of not wanting to make herself sound more interesting.
The couple made their engagement announcement public when Hayek was expecting Valentina in March 2007. They happened to have a fabulous wedding ceremony, actually make that two marriage ceremonies, once in Paris on Valentine’s Day and the other in Venice, Italy.
Hayek on Having Her First Child
On Friday of September 21st, Salma Hayek gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, that we now speak of as, Valentina Paloma Pinault as announced by Hayek’s publicist. Valentina’s parents tend to keep her away from the limelight and public interest but that does not stop Hayek from spending most of her time with little Valentina.
Salma makes it quite obvious how much she adores her only daughter and how much it meant for her to have a child later in life when she thought she could never. In an interview she revealed that she is never away from Valentina for more than two-weeks and tries spending as much time with her, balancing her work life in between.
Hayek’s Husband Encouraged Her to Get Back to Work
We could have most definitely seen the end of Hayek’s career if it wasn’t for her supportive husband that still remains as her major support system to this day. While gushing over her husband in an interview she stated how he playfully told her he is not willing ‘put up with a lazy girl in the house.’ Salma further added how her husband encouraged her to pursue her dreams as the world has not seen her best yet, and apparently, that worked and brought Salma back in the entertainment industry.
Her busy schedule does not stop Hayek from keeping up with her amazing daughter; in fact, the two share a ridiculously close bond.
Valentina’s Rare Appearances
Valentina is not easily spotted but when she is she does not fail to make a show-stopping entrance like her parents. A notable appearance of hers was at the Gucci Fall/Winter 2019 Fashion show in Milan that Valentina attended with her star-studded parents.
Valentina did not fail to impress showing up in an oversized pink-red Gucci sweater alongside her Gucci Flashtrek sneakers that blitzed with green jewels, worth a whopping $1590. Talk about coming from a star-studded, billionaire family, eh?
The Resemblance Is Uncanny
Valentina’s parents are both very diverse in terms of their work, with so many options to choose from, Hayek revealed that she and her husband think Valentina is similar to the other. Personality-wise Hayek mentioned she is more like her father but happens to be comfortable in front of the camera while having quite a bit of stage fright just like her mom.
Valentina grows to look more like her mother each day (talk about good genes), sometimes the resemblance is so striking fans often confuse Valentina with young Salma Hayek. though Valentina stays far from the limelight, Salma occasionally posts adorable mommy-daughter moments over her Instagram. The two seem to have an inseparable bond, and we’re just excited to see another Salma Hayek in the making in Valentina’s shape.
Ironically Valentina Is Inspired by Her Mom
And just as Valentina resembles her mom, she also aspires to follow Salma Hayek in her footsteps of acting. Salma firmly believes Valentina has the potential and talent to excel in Hollywood.
Hayek mentioned how ‘she draws, she wants to shoot movies- both as a director and as the lead- and she writes great pieces.’ Looking at her daughter’s artistic abilities and work, Salma often develops an urge to produce her child’s beautiful stories, to which young Valentina often disapproves of as she wishes to do it on her own as she grows older.
Salma does not pressurize Valentina to do anything, instead lets her go by free-way. She is aware that Valentina has a lot of potential with plenty of opportunities for her, but is afraid that she still might come across challenging barriers in her life as she does not know how to tackle obstacles or resist pressure. “I know by experience that only the overcoming of some difficulties can lead you in the right direction,” Salma claims.
The Many Talents of Valentina Paloma Pinault
This might be surprising to know, but Valentina also clicks some pretty darn cool photos. Could she possibly have a future in photography? That sure would be a unique path for the star-studded couple considering neither Valentina’s parents’ interference with photography.
Valentina’s photography received attention as she clicked an astoundingly aesthetic photo of her mother staring out a window during rainy weather as she sips on her coffee. The picture received 116k likes in under 24 hours and received exciting comments about the photography around the globe.
Apart from being an awesome photographer, Valentina is multi-talented (let’s just say it is in the genes). Despite her career options, she might even be a beauty stylist! Salma revealed how her daughter has a knack for cutting her mom’s hair. On Valentina’s 11th birthday, the spy kids star posted Valentina’s video cutting her hair while praising her for her efforts.
Valentina might even follow through her father’s footsteps while all the resourceful links he has being a huge business tycoon. Earlier this year she was spotted having fun at the Milan Fashion week, as she made her debut on the red carpet with a celebrity representation alongside her mom and dad during the presentation of the iconic Gucci catwalk.
Her Bedroom is Beyond Awesome
Her bedroom is literally every little girl’s dream. Tiffany Haddish revealed in a hilarious interview with Guardian that she happened to stay at Salma’s house, something she deems as a ‘palace.’ Tiffany did not stop form mentioning intriguing details about Valentina’s room that had eye-catching pink walls, unicorn stuff, and a circle bed. She mentioned how it was exactly what a princess room should be and she particularly wanted to sleep in Valentina’s room especially because of its princess-y feel.
Her Taste in Music and Boys is Pretty Neat
Salma often shares details about the tween’s interests, even though she may have a low public profile. Apart from Valentina having a knack for photography and well, cutting her mom’s hair, drawing, writing stories, she is a fan of Billie Eilish’s music (not too bad for an 11-year-old, huh?). The possible future queen of fashion also has a soft corner for Cole Sprouse, in fact, after mom Salma Hayek reached out, Valentina received an adorable message online from the amazing Riverdale actor.
Long story short, let’s just say this little Valentina is living almost every 11-year-old girl’s dream.
